The Great Blue Heron started out as one of my favorites to take photos of. I believe I may have flooded social media with them. The reason I love them so much is they symbolize self-determination and self-reliance. The represent the ability to persevere and stand on ones own. This is a symbol of my own life and how I live it every day. I even have a tattoo of one.
